Pin Lewis lifting pins are overhead lifting devices used in pairs to lift large stone blocks into place with a crane or hoist. The Pin Lewis is inserted into two angled linked together with a chain. The chain creates leverage on the pins, to allow the stone to be lifted. Once the stone is set into place, the pins are removed and the holes are plugged.
