A good racking system optimizes the storage area and efficiency of your operation, providing many years of reliable service. As inventory is used, posts can be adjusted horizontally, thus eliminating unused portions of the rails, making space available for replacement slabs and bundles.
The angle of inclination of sheet marble or granite in racks is critical. Slab racks are designed for a lean of 4° so that the top of the slab can be parted by means of a wedge, which allows the slab to be hoisted by an Aardwolf lifter.
The Aardwolf slab racks consist of a pair of galvanized steel rails 3 meters (9’10”) long, together with square steel tube posts. The square post can be positioned anywhere along the rack. All post are manufactured from square tube steel with a minimum yield strength of 450 MPA, ensuring safety for the vertical storage of slab bundles
